EG timing
systems are the only systems designed for specifically for Show Jumping in
mind. Other systems are available from the likes of Tag Heuer and Alge but
at a greater cost and with out the easy to use features of EG timing
systems, such as the
Warm-up/countdown timer, Two Phase competitions and easy to set up wireless
gates. Systems are now available for dog agility with special wire free
agility heads if required.

C420 club timer.
Simple to use, this timer operates with cabled gates. Timing is with an
accuracy of one hundredth of a second. It is powered by an external 12
volt battery or a mains supply using an optional adapter. This timer
does NOT have the warm-up/countdown timer that is required for some
competitions, nor will it time two-phase competitions. |

C700 wire-free timer.
This timer is designed for use with wire-free gates. It has the
warm-up/countdown timer that is required for some competitions and times
with an accuracy of one hundredth of a second. It is powered by an
internal re-chargeable battery or can be connected to an external 12
volt battery or a mains supply using the adapter provided. This timer
also provides timing for two-phase competitions. |

C830 / C840 professional timer.
This is a state of the art timer providing a wide range of advanced
features, including countdown timer, two-phase timing, results
calculation and electronic bell (see specification sheet for more
details). It is powered by an internal re-chargeable battery or can be
connected to an external 12 volt battery or a mains supply using the
adapter provided. |

Gates.
Infra-red heads and reflectors ('gates') are used at the start and
finish lines to automatically start and stop the timer. One head may be
used to both start and stop the timer if required. The infra-red system
has the advantage of being very easy to use and the design of the
optical system makes eg heads particularly easy to set up. Two types of
head are available, those that are connected to the timer by a cable and
'wire-free' heads that use radio to send the start/finish signal to the
timer. |
K515 infra-red head.
These heads connect to the timer by 3 core cable, which may be up to 500
metres in length. The heads are powered from the timer - no other power
is required. The K515 normally has a maximum distance of 15 metres
between head and reflector but this can be increased by using a larger 3
element reflector. Heads, reflectors, tripods and cables are all priced
individually. |

K531 wire-free head.
This head uses a radio transmitter instead of a cable to connect to the
timer. There are no cables to lay so changing the course is much
simpler! There are two channels, enabling two rings to be used side by
side. The radio signal uses special digital security coding to provide
immunity from other radio devices. The receiver (which is in the timer)
warns if other transmitters are in use, and also indicates if the
batteries are running low. The head is powered by internal rechargeable
batteries which give 24 hours continuous use between charges. The range
of the radio signal is 200 metres (line of sight). The maximum distance
between head and reflector is 30 metres. The heads can also be connected
to the timer by cable if required. One receiver (which is built into the
C700 and C830 timers) and one charger are required for two heads (start

Displays.
Two types of public display are available and can be used with any of
our timers. Both are available in 5 digit (hundredths of a second) and 6
digit (thousandths of a second) versions. Several displays may be
connected to one timer to improve coverage. |
D505 and D605 led displays.
These displays show red illuminated numbers. The digits are 5" high and
are easily viewable at 50 metres. The brightness can be altered to suit
indoor or outdoor conditions. Power is from a 12 volt battery or from
the mains using an external adapter. The case is of steel, with a steel
lid for protection during transportation.
D505 and D605 - Size: 910mm x 225mm

D510 and D610 flap displays.
These displays show fluorescent yellow numbers making them attractive
and highly visible even in bright sunlight. The digits are 10" high,
easily viewable at 100 metres. Power is from a 12 volt battery or from
the mains using an external adapter. The case is of welded steel making
it very weather resistant, with a steel lid for protection during
transportation. Mounting brackets are provided.

Accessories. |
|
K10 Electronic bell (this is
integrated into the C800 series timers). This unit is used to send one
of eight different different warning sounds to a public address system.
Because it can be switched to different sounds, several units can be
used to alert competitors in adjacent rings. Output is by a lead with a
two pole 1/4" jack, and a link selects line or mic level output. The
unit contains its own long-life battery. |

K30 Marathon timer / Clock. Can be
used to show marathon timing, the time of day, or countdown timing on a
normal public display. It is powered from the display but contains a
rechargeable battery to retain timekeeping when it is not connected.
When switched to marathon mode it will time in seconds up to 9 hours.
There are start, stop and zero buttons, and it is possible to set the
time in order to synchronise with other clocks. When switched to clock
mode you can select 12 or 24 hour display. You can also select whether
to shuttle between time and temperature or display the time
continuously. |

K40 Marathon timer / Clock. This is
a version of the K30 with a built-in lcd display and is intended for
permanent installation as a master clock for driving outdoor tower
clocks. |

K50 Remote bell button (for C830

DK5 Scoreboard console. This console
is designed for use with a public display to enable scores and
competitor numbers to be shown. It can also be connected to a timer so
that the competitor's number is shown until the timer starts, then the
public display automatically switches to show the timing. |
Video overlay generator.
This unit enables timing and faults, together with a sponsor's message,
to be inserted into a television picture for broadcast, closed-circuit
relay or video recording. The equipment consists of an interface for
connecting the timer to a computer, an overlay generator for connecting
a computer with the video signal, and the operating software. A PC
computer is also required - this is not supplied. The computer keyboard
is used for editing the sponsor's name (max 25 letters) which then
appears when the timer stops, and remains on screen until the timer is
zeroed. The keyboard is also used to enter the faults. The positions on
the screen of the time, faults and message can all be independently
changed. The size and font of the characters is fixed and cannot be
altered. |
RS232 interface.
This is used for converting the timer signal to RS232, for connection to
a computer (this is integrated into the C830 timers). Simple DOS
software is provided which displays the time on the computer screen in
large numbers, and enables the competitors' names and numbers together
with the times to be stored on disk, sorted and printed. Output is by a
9 pin 'D' socket. |

EG timing have a two year guarantee which offers repair without charge
for parts or labour. We do not offer on-site repair and it is the
customer's responsibility to return faulty equipment to our works. The
guarantee does not cover items that have been damaged. We will not
